Co-Founder and Resident DJ of Ecstatic Dance LA, Robin Parrish, specializes in curating multi-genre Ecstatic Dance mixes infused with live percussion designed to activate the dance floor. From London to the West Coast of California, Robin has played at some of the top festivals in the world and produced over 450 Ecstatic Dance events across Los Angeles and beyond. His musical styles include World Music infused with EDM, Tribal Rhythms, Afro Beat, Global Bass, House Music, Cumbia, Techno, Melodic delights, live sound healing, and more. No dance floor is ever left the same.

➤ Yoga Flow Warmup with Shiva Rea

Shiva Rea, M.A. is a global yoga teacher, explorer, and movement alchemist with background in the World Arts and Cultures program at UCLA. As founder of Prana Vinyasa and the Samudra Global School for Living Yoga, Shiva integrates the roots of vinyasa, yoga, Ayurveda, and tantra in creative, life-transforming offerings. Her studies in Tantra, Ayurveda, Krishnamacharya lineage, Kalaripayattu from CVN Kalari, World Dance and somatic movement infuse her offerings to living yoga and embodying the flow for all.

Shiva is known for offering the synthesis form of Vinyasa Flow throughout the world, bringing the roots of yoga alive for modern practitioners in creative, dynamic, and life-transforming ways for over 25 years around the globe. She has collaborated with many DJ’s, musicians and indigenous artists to bring the healing power of art, music and movement meditation into the flow of yoga through Yoga Trance Dance and Rhythm and Prana Flow.

For this event Shiva will be an offering of Rhythm and Prana Flow Yoga with rhythm tools and big drums to offer movement meditation as life-regeneration. Come as you are and let’s us syncopate wit the pulse of life.

FREEFORM DANCE MEANS YOU CAN MOVE HOWEVER YOU PLEASE, THERE’S NO RIGHT OR WRONG WAY, THE DANCE FLOOR IS SIMPLY A SPACE FOR YOU TO EXPLORE MOVEMENT AND BE CARRIED AND MOVED BY THE MUSIC. IT’S AN OPPORTUNITY TO LISTEN DEEPER TO YOUR BODY, FLOW WITH YOUR EMOTIONS, CONNECT WITH OTHERS WITHOUT THE NEED FOR WORDS, AND GET ELEVATED OFF THE MOVEMENT. NO MATTER WHAT YOUR DANCE EXPERIENCE IS, OR HOW YOU ARE FEELING, YOU ARE WELCOME JUST AS YOU ARE. 

WHAT MUSIC IS PLAYED?

THE MUSIC PLAYED WEAVES A MIXTURE OF MUSICAL DELIGHTS AND TEMPOS TO ACTIVATE THE DANCE FLOOR AND GET US MOVING IN A WIDE RANGE OF WAYS.
